WANKE CASCADE PACKAGES EARTH-FRIENDLY PRODUCTS - INTRODUCES NEW TERRA LIVING COLLECTION Beauty. Durability. Affordability. Renewable. Wanke Cascade’s Terra Living Collection offers consumers plenty of reasons to admire the company’s line-up of earth-friendly floor coverings. Featuring a combination of Bamboo, Cork, and Marmoleum linoleum, the Terra Living Collection provides a handsome offering of the most eco-friendly products available - all packaged in an innovative new display that help retailers simplify the purchase process for environmentally conscious people who are in the market for a new floor. Today’s consumer wants to “have it all.” High quality at a reasonable price; beautiful aesthetics to reflect individual taste; and conscientiously, choices that support the environment. Terra Living enables the consumer to “have it all” from a floor covering. The product offering for Terra Living was selected based on their high marks in all areas concerning durability, repairability, ease of maintenance, as well as 6 eco-friendly criteria: efficient use of raw materials, energy-efficient manufacturing, biodegradable/disposal, renewable, low VOC’s, and low allergen/dust properties. Bamboo - for those attracted to the exotic, Bamboo’s remarkable straight grain can be cut horizontally or vertically and combined to create a dramatic appearance. Bamboo is a hearty member of the grass family and is ready for harvest in as little as 4-6 years after it sprouts. Compared to hardwoods, which take more than 120 years to mature, it’s easy to see the ecological advantages. Cork - known for its resiliency and ability to absorb sound, it can withstand heavy foot traffic while creating a quiet, sophisticated atmosphere. Cork is made from natural, renewable resources. Cork bark is peeled from the cork oak tree. The process does not harm the tree and new bark immediately begins to regenerate. Earth-conscious manufacturing methods include the use of high-quality, low-pollutant materials, and heat recovering technology that save energy during production. Marmoleum - Marmoleum linoleum is made entirely from natural, renewable ingredients. Linseed oil, plant rosin, wood flour, powdered cork, ground limestone, pigments, and jute. The finished Marmoleum contains no asbestos, formaldehyde or other hazardous ingredients. Forbo Marmoleum is available in hundreds of styles and colors, from soft and subtle to wild and evocative.
